Claude Allin Shepperson (1867-1921) was a British artist renowned for his elegant depictions of society life. Born in Beckenham, Kent, he initially studied law before turning to art in 1891. He trained in Paris and London, studying under Sir Frank Short.

Shepperson's work spanned painting, illustration, etching, and lithography, with a distinctive style characterized by elongated figures and aristocratic refinement.

He contributed to publications like *Punch* and illustrated works by authors such as E. Nesbit and H. B. Marriott Watson. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy in 1919. Shepperson passed away in Chelsea, London, in 1921.
