A fine and decorative pair of Derby porcelain cabinet plates, hand-painted with roses and dating to circa 1810. Elegant in both form and decoration, the plates reflect the high standard of flower painting for which Derby was celebrated during the early 19th century.
Each plate is centred with a richly painted spray of roses, their softly shaded petals rendered in tones of pink, cream, and red, accompanied by delicate leaves and smaller flowering sprigs.
