A striking and highly functional 1920s Art Deco hat display stand, constructed in chrome-plated metal and iron. Tall, slender, and decisively architectural in form, it was designed for presenting hats in a millinery shop, department store, or fashion display, and now makes an exceptional decorative object in its own right.
The stand has a telescopic mechanism that adjusts from just over one metre to approximately two metres in height, allowing it to be tailored to different display settings. Its practical purpose is matched by a refined industrial elegance: the polished chrome contrasts beautifully with the darker iron structure, while the clean vertical lines and restrained geometric form reflect the streamlined aesthetic of the Art Deco period.
