Maison Jansen was a renowned Parisian interior design firm founded in 1880 by Jean-Henri Jansen. Considered the first truly global decorating house, it became famous for serving royalty, aristocrats, and wealthy clients across Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
Maison Jansen was known for its refined blend of classical European styles with modern comfort, often mixing antiques with contemporary pieces. Its clients included the White House, the Kennedy family, the Shah of Iran, and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
The firm's influence shaped twentieth-century interior decoration before it closed in 1989.
