A rare and characterful Hadrill & Horstmann Simplus Counterpoise lamp, dating from circa 1950 and retaining its original, beautifully worn painted finish. With its unmistakable articulated arm, exposed spring mechanism, and purposeful industrial form, this is a superb example of mid-century British task-light design.
Founded in the early 20th century, Hadrill & Horstmann became renowned for their highly engineered adjustable lamps, designed to direct light precisely where it was needed.
