An exceptional 18ct gold Templar ring by Elizabeth Gage, London, 1994, presented in its original box. This richly detailed and highly individual jewel is centred on a carved oval cabochon of pink tourmaline, flanked by two round brilliant-cut diamonds and framed within a distinctive tapering band.
The softly glowing pink tourmaline provides a wonderful focal point, its carved cabochon surface lending the ring an almost sculptural quality. Either side, a brilliant-cut diamond adds a crisp flash of light, creating a beautiful contrast with the warmth of the gold and the saturated colour of the central stone.
The tapering band is decorated with green guilloché enamel, its finely engine-turned ground producing a subtle play of pattern and light beneath the translucent enamel. The edges are finished with Elizabeth Gage's characteristic wire-twist-wire ornament, giving the ring further texture, depth, and a richly worked, architectural presence.
